Introduction

UFS-DSATA210 is eSATA, FireWire800 (IEEE 1394b) & USB 2.0 ComBo to Dual SATA RAID Bridge Board with Encryption.

UFS-DSATA210 is a selectable hardware RAID Bridge Board for two SATA HDDs. A true hardware solution UFS-DSATA210 requires no software to be installed on your machine.

It provides 4 hardware RAID mode:

  • RAID 0 (Striping): for two disks with same capacity.
  • RAID 1 (Mirroring): for two disks with same capacity.
  • BIG (Spanning): for two disks with different capacity.
  • PM (JBOD): Non-RAID.

RAID 0 (Striping):
By striping technique, UFS-DSATA210 integrates two HDDs into a high performance drive.

BIG (Spanning):
By spanning technique, UFS-DSATA210 integrates two HDDs into a big drive.

RAID 1 (Mirroring):
By mirroring technique, UFS-DSATA210 maintains data in two disk drives simultaneously and securely. If one drive fails, UFS-DSATA210 automatically switches operations to the functional drive and alert the failure. Once a new HDD is installed to replace the defective drive, the UFS-DSATA210 will automatic rebuild the entire HDD image in the background, while providing the un-interrupt data connection to the system.

Hardware RAID engine supporting RAID 0, 1, spanning, JBOD over USB, FireWire and eSATA. eSATA supports only one SATA HDD for JBOD mode in Windows XP.

Encryption

Hardware cipher engine supporting real-time 128-bit and 256-bit AES encryption/decryption over USB, FireWire and eSATA. eSATA supports only one SATA HDD encryption for JBOD mode.
