FWBEIDE525D-MR2WP2 is a FireWire (1394b) to ATA storage equipment with two IDE (ATA) Mobile Rack built-in. It allows ATA/SATA storage devices to connect to a 1394 serial bus in a plug-and-play fashion. There are two FireWire (1394b) to ATA bridge boards inside the FWBEIDE525D-MR2-WP2. One of the FireWire (1394b) to ATA bridge board is with read-only (write protect) function. The read-only (write protect) function provides the perfect solution for forensic application.

FWBEIDE525D-MR2WP2 combines three key components:

1.) FireWire (IEEE-1394b) to ATA Bridge Board: FWB-IDE01 and FWB-IDE01-WP
2.) Two IDE Mobile Rack
3.) Case and Power Supply: CF-7021

1.) FireWire (IEEE-1394b) to ATA Bridge Board :

• FireWire ports: Two Bilingual ports
• 1394 Bus Transfer Rate: 100/200/400/800 Mbps
• Complies with T13's ATA/ATAPI-6 Draft Specification:
  • Multiword DAM Mode 0-2
  • Ultra DAM Mode 2, 4, 5
  • Supports 48-bit addressing for large hard drives (>128GB)

  

2.) IDE Mobile Rack:

• The inner hard disk drive tray and mounting frame are made by aluminum which is good for heat dissipation
• Ejecting pull handle with miniature keylock
• Keylock + power switch make the hard disk drive tray hot-swappable
• One built-in 40x40 mm cooling fan
• Power indicator LED and HDD Access LED
• Provide three type of mobile tray for option.
