SPM3726-35QDB1 is one -to- five SATA Port Multiplier storage enclosure for four 3.5" HDDs and one 2.5" HDD. It is designed to provide a high performance link between a single SATA2 host port and 5 SATA device ports. With its unique data aggregation and 3Gbps serial link capacity, it support 5 SATA or SATA2 device with auto-negotiation features over one single eSATA connector.

Coupling with proper host controllers such as Silicon Image Sil3124 and Sil3132, SPM3726-35QDB1, a high reliable and extremely fast variety of storage applications (RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, Concatenated and JBOD).

SPM3726-35QDB1 takes full advantage of high-speed Serial ATA serial bus allowing for multi-user and multitasking performance. SPM3726-35QDB1 delivers the performance required for servers and I/O demanding applications such as Video-On-Demand (digital content and high-definition video), database servers, workstations, high-end desktops, and image systems.

SATA3726-35QDB1 combines four key components.

• D-Pod + D-Bay is a Mobile Rack for 2.5" Serial ATA Hard Disk Drive.
• The D-Bay was designed to fit the dimension of 3.5" FDD device bay of the computer case.
• D-Pod + D-Bay will allow user to hot-swap the 2.5" Serial ATA Hard Disk Drive from the front panel of the computer.
• D-Pod + D-Bay provides the perfect solution for data backup and transferring of data in using Serial ATA hard disk drives.
