Introduction

FWBU2DSATA11 is dual Mode (Device Mode or Host Mode) Bridge Board featuring Oxford OXUF934DSB.

Device Mode: FireWire800 (IEEE 1394b) & USB 2.0 ComBo to Dual SATA Bridge Board

FWBU2DSATA11 is a selectable hardware RAID Bridge Board for two SATA HDDs. A true hardware solution, FWBU2DSATA11 requires no software to be installed on your machine.

It provides 3 hardware RAID mode:

  • RAID 0 (Striping): for two disks with same capacity.
  • Spanning: for two disks with different capacity.
  • Non-RAID (JBOD).

RAID 0 (Striping) and Spanning:
By striping/ spanning technique, FWBU2DSATA11 integrates two HDDs into a big drive.

Host Mode: eSATA, FireWire800 (IEEE 1394b) & USB 2.0 ComBo to Single SATA Bridge Board

FWBU2DSATA11 provides three host interface for connecting the computer.

    Note: For Host Mode it needs a CB-00358 Reverse Type eSATA Cable.

ESATA-ECS-2R ---e-SATA 7pin receptacle to SATA 7pin plug (Reverse Type) signal extension cable (CB-00358) with SCSI 1 connector Form Factor Bracket (BR-00184).
BR-00184 was designed to hold one CB-00358 and one RJ45 receptacle port PCBA which come with Areca ARC5030 RAID subsystem.

  • Desktop PC: with either a built-in FireWire800 (IEEE 1394b) controller or a FireWire800 (IEEE 1394b) to PCI Host Adapter equipped with a external FireWire800 (IEEE 1394b) port.
  • Desktop PC: with either a built-in USB (1.0 or 2.0) controller or an USB (1.0 or 2.0) to PCI Host Adapter equipped with a external USB port.
  • Desktop PC: with either a built-in SATA controller or an SATA to PCI Host Adapter equipped with a external SATA port.
  • Laptop PC: with either a built-in FireWire800 (IEEE 1394b) controller or a FireWire800 (IEEE 1394b) to CardBus PC Card equipped with a external FireWire800 (IEEE 1394b) port.
