IOI-1394 is a four port (IEEE 1394a) Repeater featuring Texas Instrument's new FireWire (IEEE 1394a) 400Mbps PHY.

There are four IOI-1394R4 (4-Port FireWire Repeater) at the rear panel of FWEIDE525O-MR8. Each IOI-1394R4 connects with two FireWire mobile racks. You can connect each IOI-1394R4 to a different FireWire host controller (IOI-4601-22 recommended) to increase the data transferring speed. Or, you can use a FireWire cable to connect two IOI-1394R4 externally.
