Introduction

U2EIDE525D-1 is an USB 2.0 to IDE (ATA/ATAPI) dual 5.25" bay enclosure. U2EIDE525D-1 is ideally suited for tailgate interface applications for removable-media drives CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD-RAM, tape drive, and hard disk drive. It allows IDE drives (Master and Slave) to be connected to USB 2.0 serial bus in a plug-and-play fashion. Both ATA and ATAPI devices are supported using the same firmware.

U2EIDE525D-1 allows users to easily hot-swap IDE drive without interrupting the current operation. U2EIDE525D-1 provides the perfect solution for data backup and transferring of data between computers using IDE (ATA/ATAPI) devices.

1).USB 2.0 to IDE (ATA/ATAPI) Bridge Board:

  • Complies with T13's ATA/ATAPI-6 Draft Specification:
    • PIO Mode 0 ~ 4
    • Multiword DMA Mode 0 ~ 2
    • Ultra DMA Mode 0 ~ 4
    • Supports 48-bit addressing for large hard drives (>128GB)
  • IDE (ATA/ATAPI) Interface: Male IDC 2X20 Connector
  • Both ATA and ATAPI devices are supported using the same firmware.

  • Inner metal mounting bracket provides screw holes for 5.25" IDE devices
  • Built-in 80x80 mm cooling fan
  • Provide one RCA Jack

  • Provide Power Switch on the front panel.
